Vivienne Westwood didn't just design clothes — she used fashion as protest. She put safety pins on the King's Road, dressed the Sex Pistols, and spent the last decades of her life campaigning for climate justice with the same confrontational energy she brought to everything else. She died in 2022 having never softened. There's a natural affinity between her aesthetic and this style of painting — the chaos, the colour, the refusal to be tasteful when being tasteful isn't enough.
