This explosive mixed media portrait reimagines Jean-Michel Basquiat as both artist and fighter—gloved, defiant, and ready to strike. Using a bold fusion of spray paint, acrylic, oil, and street-inspired marks, I aimed to capture the raw energy and rebellion that defined Basquiat’s legacy.

Framed by bursts of colour, layered tags, and graffiti chaos, he stares directly at the viewer—unapologetic, intense, and iconic. The boxing gloves symbolise his relentless battle with art, fame, race, and the world itself.
