INSIDE THE STUDIO
I've been a full-time artist for the past ten years, and honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else. I studied Fine Art at the University of Suffolk, graduating with a BA Hons, and those years gave me the foundations I still lean on every day — an understanding of light, form, value and composition.
"This approach allows me to create paintings that offer a fresh perspective on familiar subjects"
My work sits at the intersection of traditional portraiture and graffiti art. Working with spray paint, ink pens, oils and acrylics, I build up layers of texture and effect until each piece takes on a life of its own. This approach allows me to create paintings that offer a fresh perspective on familiar subjects. Every painting is an exploration — a push against the boundaries of what a portrait can be and how we perceive the people within them.
Over the years, my work has found its way into private collections across the world — from the UK and Europe to the US and beyond. Knowing that a painting I made in my Norwich studio is hanging on someone's wall on the other side of the planet never gets old. If you're interested in owning an original or commissioning a piece, I'd love to hear from you.
