Painted to Order
How closely do your 'painted to order' paintings resemble those on your website?
My painted to order paintings are created using the same materials, colours and reference photo as those shown on my website. However, since each painting is handmade, there will be slight differences. These small differences help make each painting unique, while still maintaining the overall look and feel of the original design.
Can you explain the process for your 'painted to order' paintings?
I’ll start to create your painting within 2 days of the order being placed. About halfway through, I’ll send over some in-progress images. Once the painting is complete, I’ll send you the final images for your approval before shipping.
Are they able to be comtomised?
Yes, just drop me a message along with your order.
How long will it take from ordering my painting until I receive it?
Typically, around 3-4 weeks from placing the order.
Are you able to make changes to the painting once it's finished?
Absolutely, I'm more than happy to make any changes before shipping.
Are your paintings signed?
Yes, each painting is signed on the front and back of the canvas.
Ready to Ship
Are the paintings ready to hang upon delivery?
All paintings 40x40" and under will be shipped on a canvas frame ready-to-hang. Anything larger will be shipped rolled up in a tube.
What is the dispatch time?
Two working days.
Where are your paintings dispatched from?
From my studio in Norwich, UK.
What materials do you use for your paintings?
A combination of artists' quality oil & acrylic paints, spray paint and drip pens.
Commissions
How much do your commissioned paintings cost?
Prices vary depending on the size and complexity of the painting. Typically commissions are ~ 30% more than a canvas of the same size.

How do I order a custom painting?
Simply fill in the contact form on the Commissions page or drop me an email at richard@richarddaystudio.com and we’ll get the ball rolling.
How long does it take to complete a custom painting?
The completion time varies depending on the complexity and size of the painting, but generally, it takes 2-4 weeks. I will keep you up to date throughout the process with regular updates.
Do you paint pets or group portraits?
Yes and yes.
Shipping & Customs Charges
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I ship all over the world.
How are shipping costs determined?
Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the painting and the destination.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Shipping times varies by country.
I offer next day shipping within the UK, 2-3 business days for the USA & 3-5 business days for Europe.
Can I track my order?
Yes, each painting will be dispatched with a tracking number.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
No, I do not ship to PO Boxes.
Can I request a specific delivery date or time?
Yes, please get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate your request.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
Yes, please get in touch as soon as possible and I'll make sure it goes to the right place.
Refunds & Exchanges
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Yes, I want you to love your artwork! If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your painting to discuss return or exchange options.
Can I return a custom painting?
Custom paintings are made specifically for you and are generally non-returnable. However, if there is an issue with the quality or damage, I will work with you to resolve it.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
If your painting arrives damaged, please contact me immediately with photos of the damage and packaging. I will arrange for a replacement or offer a refund depending on the situation.
How do I return a painting?
To return a painting, please reach out first for instructions. Returns must be shipped back in the original condition and packaging, and the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
How long do I have to return or exchange a painting?
You must request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your painting. After this period, returns or exchanges are no longer accepted.
What if my painting doesn’t arrive or is lost in transit?
If your painting is lost during shipping, please contact me immediately. I will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and ensure that you receive your artwork or a replacement.
